St. Catherine Morgan Hill  40th Annual Sweepstakes

Rules and Regulations for 2023

​

 

  1. The “sweepstakes” is presented in conjunction with a solicitation for donations by St. Catherine Church of Morgan Hill, California.  All donations and contributions will be used in support of parish operations, the parish school and other parish educational/outreach programs.

  2. St. Catherine Church is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, illegible, misdirected or postage due mail.

  3. Winners are selected by a series of random drawings from eligible entries received and decisions are final on all matters relating to the “sweepstakes”.  The pastor and associate pastors will monitor compliance with the rules governing these “sweepstakes”.

  4. All Participants must be 18 years or older.

  5. Winner does not need to be present to win.

  6. Mail orders must be post marked by December 13, 2023 for the December 17, 2023 drawing.  All ticket orders received by the due date will receive an acknowledgement by mail as proof of entry into the contest.

  7. Drawing will be held on December 17, 2023 at St. Catherine Parish Hall in Morgan Hill, CA. 

  8. St. Catherine’s reserves the right to cancel the sweepstakes at any time with notice and full refund by mail.

  9. For IRS reporting requirements, the prizes will be declared in 2023.  All prize winners are responsible for conforming with IRS regulations.

  10. All members of the sweepstakes committee are unpaid volunteers and are overseen by the Pastor of St. Catherine Church.  Committee members are allowed to participate in the sweepstakes and are entitled to win prizes.

  11. All ticket stubs are available for inspection one hour prior to the drawing and will be kept visible to all until they are deposited into the barrel for the drawing.

  12. The sweepstakes details for 2023 are as follows:

 

“Early Bird Special Sweepstakes”

  • Buy your tickets by November 19, 2023 to be entered into an additional drawing.

   1. The first prize is $1,500 cash

   2. The second prize is $500 cash

   3. The third prize is $250 cash

“Bonus Bundle Sweepstakes”

  • Bonus Bundles consist of 4 “Vehicle Sweepstakes tickets”, 5 “Vacation Sweepstakes tickets” and 1 “Bonus Bundle Sweepstakes ticket” which are issued as a booklet.

  • A maximum of 400 “Bonus Bundles” will be issued.

  • Each “Bonus Bundle” issued will be entered in the “Bonus Bundle Sweepstakes”

  1. The first prize is $2,500 cash.

  2. The second prize is $1,500 cash

  3. The third prize is a $1000 cash

  4. The fourth prize is $750 cash

“Vehicle Sweepstakes”

  • Only 2500 tickets will be issued, including those bundled into “Bonus Bundles”.

  • A minimum of 800 tickets must be issued or all money will be refunded by mail.

  • The first prize winner will receive one of the following: any new Ford vehicle from The Ford Store of Morgan Hill, CA with a MSRP of up to $40,000, or $35,000 cash- the choice is determined by the winner.  Winners who select a car that has a MSRP of less than $35,000 will receive the difference between the St. Catherine cost of the selected car and St. Catherine cost of the car selected.

  1. The first prize winner is responsible for tax, registration, and license, and for conformance with IRS regulations. 

  2. The second prize is $5,000 cash

  3. The third prize is $2,500 cash

  4. The fourth prize is $1,500 cash

 

“Vacation Sweepstakes”

  • Only 3000 tickets will be issued.

  • A minimum of 900 tickets must be issued or all money will be refunded by mail.

  1. The first prize is $10,000 cash

  2. The second prize is $3,000 cash

  3. The third prize is $1,500 cash

  4. The fourth prize is $1000 cash
